Richard Kahalioumi


Richard Kahalioumi is the Facility Director at Holua Racquet and Paddle on Hawaiʻi Island, bringing over a decade of coaching experience in tennis and six years in pickleball instruction. After discovering pickleball and quickly falling in love with the game, Richard transitioned his deep understanding of racquet sports into helping players develop confidence, consistency, and joy on the court.
Known for his approachable coaching style and strong fundamentals, Richard works with players of all ages and skill levels—from beginners picking up a paddle for the first time to seasoned players looking to elevate their strategy and performance. His coaching philosophy centers on creating a positive, supportive environment where learning is fun, progress is measurable, and every player feels welcome.
As Facility Director, Richard is passionate about growing the racquet sports community on Hawaiʻi Island through quality programming, mentorship, and an emphasis on sportsmanship and connection. Off the court, Richard is also a musician and active member of a local band, bringing creativity, rhythm, and energy into everything he does, including his coaching.
