What do you recommend for air & ground transportation?

  • If you are flying privately, fly into Truckee (KTRK).

  • If you are flying commercially, fly into Reno (RNO) or Sacramento (SMF). RNO is 45 minutes from the Hyatt; SMF is 2 hours, so RNO is much closer, might be less expensive, and has Wheel-of-Fortune slot machines 😉.

There aren't many Uber/Lyft/taxi drivers in Lake Tahoe, so relying on getting one will end up being very frustrating. Plus, you will want the freedom to freely drive around Tahoe during your stay, so we highly recommend renting a vehicle.
